| Licenses
Homeland controls eight licenses in two blocks, for a total of 4,000
square kilometers, covering some of the most prospective geology in the
Tim Mersoi basin. The licenses are valid for a period of three years subject
to graduated expenditure obligations. Two renewal periods of three years
each are also available. Given the recent difficulties in Niger that precluded
field work from being undertaken, the government is considering granting
an extension to HUI and other license holders.
